Quotes
A price given over the phone or by text is based on what you described. If the car turns out to need something different, the work stops and you get a new price to agree to before it carries on.
The warranty
Joe puts a 12 month warranty on the work he does. Brake pad replacement carries 18 months. That has been the promise since the first version of this business and it has not moved. It covers the work done and the parts supplied by Joe. It does not cover a part you bought and asked him to fit, and it does not cover a new fault somewhere else on the vehicle.
Parts you supply
Joe will fit a part you bought if you ask. The labor is warrantied, the part is not, and if the part turns out to be wrong or faulty the second visit is chargeable.
Access and safety
The vehicle needs a reasonably flat, firm place to sit with room to work beside it. Joe will not jack a car on a slope or on soft ground, because that is how people get hurt.
Payment
Due when the work is finished, unless something else was agreed in writing first.
This site
The pages here describe services in general terms. Nothing on this site is a quote for your vehicle. A quote is the number Joe gives you for your car.
